Most overhead pain we see at YHN traces back to a stiff thoracic spine, a poorly controlled scapula, or both. Treating only the shoulder rarely solves it. Address the whole chain and the shoulder usually quiets down within weeks.
How we work through it
- Thoracic adjustments to restore extension and rotation.
- Scapular control work - wall slides, prone Y-T-W's.
- Rotator cuff strength once the position is right.
- Soft tissue work on overactive upper traps and lats.
