IASTM uses ergonomic stainless-steel instruments to detect and treat soft tissue restrictions. The tools allow the provider to feel changes in tissue that fingers can't perceive and to deliver focused mechanical force without fatiguing the hands. The result is faster, more specific work.
What IASTM is good for
- Chronic tendinopathies that have stalled.
- Post-surgical scar tissue.
- IT band and shin splint patterns.
- Stubborn fascial restrictions.
What to expect after a session
Mild redness or pinpoint bruising in the treated area is normal and resolves within a few days. We typically pair IASTM with corrective exercise the same visit so the freed-up tissue gets retrained immediately.
